Langar 4 Hunger is cancelled until further notice in order to maintain social distancing rules.
Gurmat Center volunteers have launched a new community outreach program called 'Langar for Hunger'. 40 volunteers consisting of youth and adults are together to prepare and serve enough meals to feed two hundred hungry and homeless people. The concept of feeding those in need has its beginnings over 500 years ago with the founder of Sikhism , Guru Nanak Dev Ji. Langar is a prime example of Seva which is prepared by volunteers and funded by donations. It develops compassion and leads to social justice. Langar for Hunger is just one of many remarkable projects spearheaded by the dedicated youth and older volunteers at Gurmat Center.
