Gatka is a traditional Sikh martial art introduced by the Gurus to uphold freedom of religion and protect the human rights of both Sikhs and non-Sikhs. It is valued not only as a powerful form of physical training, but also as a deeply spiritual discipline. Through the study of Gatka, students develop strength, focus, and discipline.
Gurmat Center has been teaching Gatka since 2001 and currently offers two classes, with students grouped according to their skill level. Throughout the year, students are given many opportunities to showcase their training and progress at Nagar Kirtans, the Awards Ceremony, and Shaheedi Smagam.
