School Year (2026 - 2027) Volunteer Form

Conditions: Application deadline: Sunday, August 23, 2026

Note: Acceptance emails will be sent within the week following the application deadline.

In order to be accepted as a volunteer for the 2026 - 2027 school year, all of the conditions listed below must be fully met and agreed to.

Note: Applicant must fill out their own volunteer application.

Volunteers must commit to volunteering once a week from September 2026 to June 2027

If volunteers are going to join any other extracurricular activity (sports, clubs etc.) during the school year, they must ensure it does not conflict with the day(s) of Seva that they have already committed to.

Volunteers will be selected based on application submission date, skill set, and previous volunteer experience.

Volunteers must have started grade 6 as of September 2026

All volunteers must be familiar with the level of Punjabi they have chosen to volunteer for. Teachers will assess whether your Punjabi proficiency is a good fit for the class level you've selected.

Volunteers must wear the official Gurmat Center uniform (white Punjabi suit/kurta pajama, royal blue head covering with the navy blue staff clothing). Volunteers will be required to order the staff clothing as part of the uniform.

Volunteers must attend the scheduled orientation on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Failure to attend the orientation will result in removal from the volunteer list.

I agree to check my email regularly (at least every 1-2 days) to ensure I receive important communication from the Gurmat Center, including acceptance notifications and confirmation requests. I understand that failure to respond in a timely manner may affect my volunteer status.
