Volunteer Conditions

Volunteer applications for Summer Camp sessions 1 and 2 are open! We encourage anyone in Gr. 6 or higher to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. Spots may fill up prior to the deadlines. Apply early. Please see below for more information:

VOLUNTEER APPLICATION DEADLINES

Session 1: Saturday, June 20, 2026

Session 2: Saturday, July 4, 2026

Note: Filling out this application does not guarantee that you will be accepted. We encourage you to thoughtfully and properly answer the questions to improve the likelihood of being accepted as a volunteer. Please carefully read the entire application.

If you apply for more than one session, it is possible that you may get into one but not the other. Please continue to check your email regularly.

In order to be accepted as a volunteer for the 2026 Summer Gurmat Camp, all of the conditions listed below must be fully met and agreed to.

Please ensure this application is submitted by the designated deadline for the session being applied for.

I have completed grade 6 (completed grade 6 in June 2026 or earlier).

I will attend the camp for the full 9 days of the session I have applied to - 8:15 am to 3:45 pm daily. The arrival time on the first day of camp is 8:05 am.

I will wear a watch to the orientation and for the duration of the camp. (No smart/electronic watches such as Apple Watches, Fitbits, etc.)

I will participate in all activities during the camp

I will pay $30 for two volunteer t-shirts, only if I'm accepted. Everything else during the camp is free for volunteers.

There will be a volunteer appreciation on Friday, August 7, 2026. If I choose to attend, I agree to pay a fee to cover the cost of transportation for this trip. All other expenses will be covered by Gurmat Center.

I will attend the scheduled volunteer orientation for my specific session(s). I understand that failure to attend the orientation will result in removal from the volunteer list.

I agree to check my email regularly (at least every 1-2 days) to ensure I receive important communication from the Gurmat Center, including acceptance notifications and confirmation requests. I understand that failure to respond in a timely manner may affect my volunteer status.

I have confirmed with my parent(s)/guardian(s) that I have no appointments or commitments that would prevent me from attending the full Summer Camp schedule

Orientation dates:

Session 1: Sunday, July 5, 2026 (Time: 8:00am - 2:00pm)

Session 2: Tuesday, July 21, 2026 (Time: 8:00am - 2:00pm)

You will be contacted anytime between your application submission date and 2-3 days after the application deadline date. You must respond to the email by the deadline stated in the email to confirm your position as a volunteer. Please note that failure to respond by the stated deadline may result in removal from the volunteer list.
