What happened at GC from January to April? |
The annual Gurmat Center Spring Gurmat Camp took place this year from March 18th to March 21st - four days of learning Gurmat, awesome lunches, and loads of fun! This year, our theme was ਧੰਨ ਧੰਨ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਤੇਗ ਬਹਾਦਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ. Campers experienced a jam-packed day, including Darbar time, interesting Sikh history and Gurmat classes, delicious langar, sports and games, and enjoying the Sangat’s presence. It wasn’t just the campers having a blast, but the volunteers too! |

From January to April, we were blessed to have 10 different Parcharaks take to the Sunday Youth and Family Darbar stage to share the message of the Guru. Most of these Parcharaks learned from Gurmat Center, and now, with Guru Sahib’s blessings, they are teaching the next generation of Sikhs. |

Throughout the program, we explore ਗੁਰਮਤਿ in a supportive and non-judgemental environment, fostering a healthy sense of belonging. We are so fortunate to have amazing guest speakers come out to our GCY events!
We look forward to seeing you at the next event! |

Dastar Tying Classes Restart |
Another session of Dastaar Tying classes began in March! The dastaar was gifted to us by our Gurus and upheld by the Sikhs who lost their lives for us to wear it. These students took the next step in their Sikhi journey and learned both the importance of the Dastaar and how to tie it. |
| ਹਉ ਗੋਸਾਈ ਦਾ ਪਹਿਲਵਾਨੜਾ ॥ ਮੈ ਗੁਰ ਮਿਲਿ ਉਚ ਦੁਮਾਲੜਾ ॥ I am a wrestler; I belong to the Lord of the World. I met with the Guru, and I have tied a tall, plumed turban. ਸਭ ਹੋਈ ਛਿੰਝ ਇਕਠੀਆ ਦਯੁ ਬੈਠਾ ਵੇਖੈ ਆਪਿ ਜੀਉ ॥੧੭॥ All have gathered to watch the wrestling match, and the Merciful Lord Himself is seated to behold it. ||17|| |

Midterm Exams and Parent Teacher Interviews |
After midterms in March, families attended parent-teacher interviews to discuss student performance. It was a pleasure connecting with our GC parents, and we appreciate the hard work demonstrated by both students and parents! Each student received personalized feedback on how to improve moving forward. |
