Being a volunteer means that you will be contributing your time, energy and services. The end-goal of becoming a volunteer at the Gurmat Center is to develop such a love and passion for service that it becomes a way of life, rather than a single isolated act of service. As Sikhs, we are born to serve humanity and becoming a volunteer is a small starting point where you can direct your time and energy to make a positive difference in someone else's life, as well as your own.

The Gurmat Center has a commitment to our volunteers. We will always try our best to provide our volunteers with training, opportunities for self-development and leadership. Every effort is made to match an individual's interests and skills with a suitable position to ensure that the work is interesting and challenging. We are dedicated to recognizing your time commitment and hard work on a regular basis as well as through special events in your honour.
