We are excited to announce that Dastar tying classes are finally launching! Thank you to the Sangat for the encouragement and support to start this program for the past several years. With Maharaj’s Kirpa, registration is now live on our website!

The Dastar has a huge significance in Sikhi as it is a part of our identity. The Dastar is our Guru Sahibs' gift to us. It is how the Guru has crowned us as Singhs and Kaurs who sit on the throne of commitment in pursuit of a higher consciousness and unity with God/Vaheguru. For men and women alike, this projective identity conveys royalty, grace, and uniqueness. It is a signal to others that we live in the image of our Gurus and that we are dedicated to serving all. 
 
DETAILS FOR DASTAR TYING CLASSES
  • WHO: Classes are for everyone from grade 4 to university
  • WHAT: 9 Dastar tying classes
  • PRICE: $110 - This price includes a royal blue dastar for all students
  • WHERE: Gurmat Center basement, Gurdwara Sahib Kalgidhar Darbar, 30640 Blueridge Drive
  • WHEN: Every Sunday starting April 23, 2023
    • GIRLS: 3-4 PM
    • BOYS: 4-5 PM
    • Dates:
      • April 23, 30
      • May 7, 14, 21, 28
      • June 4, 18, 25 
      • Please note: No class on June 11 due to Gurmat Center Awards Ceremony
