The team that made this summer possible! From front line classroom teachers and Gatka teacher to behind the scenes as camp supervisors, overseers & office, the all-Kaurs team got to bond 8 hours a day for 8 weeks! Their time spent together was full of lots of growth & skill development as they stepped out of their comfort zones, taking on new roles.
Every year, students from Level 4 - 6 are encouraged to participate in the Gurbani Memorizing Rewards Program. Students who are able to memorize, and then recite from heart with shudh pronounciation, any of the Nitnem Banis are rewarded with a prize and a custom plaque. This year, students memorized Jap Ji Sahib, Tva Prasad Savaiye and Benti Chaupai.
With the Seva and support of our dedicated teachers, we were able to complete another successful school year. Our team of teachers work towards inspiring and educating students in Punjabi, Santhia, Sikh Studies and Kirtan. Our staff ranges from youth and seniors that bring in new and creative ideas and varying years of experience. We thanked our teachers this year with custom teddy bears, thank you cards, and plaques - although our appreciation for their time and effort is far greater.
A big thank you to all the volunteers that did Seva in the office and Dharam Parchar Store throughout the year. This year would not have been successful without the help of our dedicated volunteer team. Volunteers were recognized with custom teddy bears and thank you cards during the Awards Ceremony. Applications to volunteer for the upcoming school year are now open, check the website for more details!
