Our mission at Gurmat Center is to help children strengthen their personal relationship with Vaheguru. Gurbani will give students the confidence and stability of mind that is required to live a Guru-centered life while living in this world.
All students in level 4 (Nitnem Santhia), level 5 (Sikh Studies), and level 6 (Guru Granth Sahib Jee Santhia) are encouraged to participate in the Gurbani Memorizing Rewards Program. Students who are able to memorize, and then recite from heart with proper pronunciation, any of the Banis written below will be rewarded with cash prizes!
Children cannot recite a Bani for which they have already received a reward for in the previous years.
Students are receiving notice of the Gurbani Rewards Program in advance so they have many months to memorize the Bani and practice.
Although it is impossible to assign any money amount to Gurbani, we have come up with the following amounts based on the Bani's length and difficulty.

ਤ੍ਵ ਪ੍ਰਸਾਦਿ ਸ੍ਵਯੇ - $50

ਅਨੰਦੁ ਸਾਹਿਬ - $100
ਰਹਰਾਸਿ ਸਾਹਿਬ - $100
ਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਬਦ & ਕੀਰਤਨ ਸੋਹਿਲਾ - $50
