We were fortunate to have Bhai Bhupinder Singh as the guest speaker for the 55th GCY. Bhai Sahib talked about the challenges that Sikh youth face today and participants had a wonderful discussion about how to combat these challenges. After discussion, participants engaged in a very fun game of Pictionary. Pizza dinner and ice cream sundaes for dessert concluded the wonderful evening!

Punjabi, Santhia, & Sikh Studies students completed their final exams for the school year. Students received their results on the day of the Awards Ceremony. The office Sevadars were hard at work, preparing year-end awards and report cards. 

Throwback to Gurmat Center's Awards Ceremony from 2005! In 2005, we celebrated our 12th Awards Ceremony. Each year, students enjoyed various outdoor games, from tug of war and races to redy-redy and inflatable bounce houses. Students were also recognised for their hard work with lots of prizes and awards. With Maharaj Jee's Kirpa, we celebrated the completion of year 29 on Sunday, June 12!

With Guru Ji’s Kirpa, the Level 6 Part 2 class have reached the end of their Guru Granth Sahib Ji Santhia. These students have developed shudh ucharan (correct pronunciation) of Gurbani over the past 2 years. For the first time, these students took part in a Sehaj Paath Bhog. A big thank you to their teacher, Bibi Amanjot Kaur for helping them prepare!

The Gatka team spent many weeks practicing for the annual Awards Ceremony. The Gatka class was held outside because of the nice sunny weather. 

Thank you to Bhai Pardeep Singh for coming to Sunday Youth and Family Darbar to do Katha on Dhan Dhan Sri Guru Amar Daas Jee! With Guru Ji’s Prakash Purab being celebrated the day before, the Sangat was able to learn so much about Guru Sahib. 

We were fortunate to have Bhai Sandip Singh come speak at the monthly GCY program. Bhai Sahib talked about Racism in the 1970/80s and shared their personal experiences. The youth engaged in meaningful discussion and learned a lot. After this, everyone played a fun and competitive camp of Heads Up! The evening ended off with pizza and ice cream!
