GCY Event #43
Our 43rd Gurmat Center Youth program took place yesterday! It was a great success with over 20 participants. We started off with a great discussion about the revolutionary steps taken by Guru Nanak Dev Jee to detach from the caste system, facilitated by Bibi Sharnjit Kaur. Later we played a competitive game of 4 corner soccer and ended the night off with a delicious dinner!
Level 4 Sakhi Night
A Sakhi night was held for Level 4 Nitnem Santhia students. The students have completed their Santhia for Jap Ji Sahib in the past few months. During Sakhi night, students started off by doing Jap Ji Sahib together followed by a presentation focused on Jap Ji Sahib by our Santhia teacher. Afterwards, students enjoyed pizza and ice cream sandwiches for dinner.
Parenting Workshop #1
Our first Parenting Workshop was a success! Over 40 parents participated in a discussion facilitated by Navneet K. Bains, an experienced family councillor with Moving Forward Services in Surrey. This workshop created a safe and welcoming environment for parents to ask questions and get support from other parents.

ਗੰਢੁ ਪਰੀਤੀ ਮਿਠੇ ਬੋਲ ॥
There is a bond between love and words of sweetness.
We were fortunate to have Bhai Parmvir Singh come out and facilitate a discussion on speaking sweetly for this month’s GCY event. After an interactive discussion, the youth engaged in several rounds of competitive dodgeball, followed by a pizza dinner! We hope to have Bhai Parmvir Singh come again soon!

Seva Club & youth teachers were treated to dinner at Anand Pizza on Saturday. Ranging from ages 12 - 17, this is a special group of Sevadars that dedicate countless hours on a weekly basis to successfully run Gurmat Center. This appreciation dinner was a very small way to recognize their huge contribution to the organization. May Vaheguru Jee bless them with more Seva!
